Events

The International Take Back The Night Foundation creates safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives, with the goal of ending all forms of sexual violence. One night of awareness, resources, community connection, and active fundraising for our local survivor support agencies: the Sexual Assault Resource Center of Brazos Valley, Twin City Mission Domestic Violence Services, Unbound BCS and Scotty’s House.

 

There was many different opportunities for people to show their support at Take Back The Night: donation, poster making, participating in a short awareness walk on campus, taking a picture at a photo booth and sharing it on social media, or being present for those who choose to express their allyship or survivorship through song, art or personal narrative at the event. Campus and local resource providers, and student organizations, like AESTA, who support prevention education, tabled throughout the event to share information about who they are and what they do.
